Varadarayan recasts Wall's obstruction proofs in algebraic terms (the proofs depending upon results from algebraic number theory and on K-theoretic induction theorems), and ends with a study of finitely-dominated nilpotent spaces. Most of the material in this volume appears for the first time in book form. |
