This volume contains the contributions by some of the participants of the International Meeting on K-Theory which was held from June 29 th to July 3rd 1992 at the Institut de Recherche Math atique Avanc , Strasbourg. This conference was the first held under the auspices of the project ``K-Theory'' of the European Community. K-Theory is an extremely rich subject which touches on questions in topology, geometry, algebra and arithmetic. The present volume reflects this diversity.
