Chapter 3 presents the three basic methods of sampling selection- simple random sampling, systematic sampling, and sampling with probability proportionate to size. 
Chapter 4 and 5 use of auxiliary information by way of stratification and through ratio and regression estimation is explained.
Chapter 6 and 7 deals with Sampling and Sub sampling of clusters, double sampling procedures and the problems peculiar to repetitive surveys from the subject matter.
How the plan the survey and analyse the data in the presence of response errors is discussed in Chapter 8.
Developments not previously included, such as the stability of variance estimators, subpopulation analysis, etc., are discussed in Chapter 9
